The Sherpas share their stories of climate change in the Himalayas along with other Climate Witnesses from around the globe

Viterbo, Italy – With 10 days to go to the opening of the Copenhagen Climate Summit, Climate for Life Campaign Ambassadors, Apa Sherpa and Dawa Steven Sherpa along with other eight Climate Witnesses from around the world were in Viterbo, Italy for a Greenaccord event to enable journalists to share information and learn from experts about climate change.

Kathmandu, Nepal – Legendary mountaineer Apa Sherpa and Everest summiteer Dawa Steven Sherpa are embarking on a European Expedition through 10 European cities starting from Prague, through Brno, Bratislava, London, Rome, Geneva, Chamonix, Vienna, Brussels and finally to Copenhagen to raise awareness about impacts of Climate Change in the Himalayas.

New York, USA - On 23rd September, a Climate for Life memento containing a piece of rock from Mt. Everest was delivered to US President Barack Obama on behalf of Nepali Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal as a symbol of the rapidly melting glaciers in the Himalayas in the wake of Climate Change.
